Nowadays, smartphones are indispensable for both life and travel, so running out of battery can be a real hassle. Especially when traveling abroad, the battery drains surprisingly quickly due to the time it takes for your SIM card to search for a local carrier, so it's important to be prepared to charge anywhere.
Japan is home to many chain stores, and they all have the same equipment. Therefore, it's a good idea to look for chain stores with power outlets. McDonald's, the coffee chain "Doutor," and the beef bowl chain "Yoshinoya" all have many power outlets, so it's a good idea to check the locations of such stores at your destination in advance.
And be sure to order something before you use your phone!
